We fell in love with Benifallet on our very first visit to Catalunya back in 2003. What started as a property-hunting trip from Ireland became something far more significant—within an hour of discovering this charming village, we’d found both our future home and our hearts’ destination.
The moment we walked into the tiny village house and met Rosita at the Botiga Bar across the road, we knew we’d found something special. The warm, welcoming nature of Benifallet’s residents made the decision easy, though we did drive around the entire area just to be sure. No other village gave us that same instant feeling of belonging.
Six weeks later, we became proud homeowners in Benifallet, and in 2006 we moved here permanently. By 2008, we’d purchased the Riverside Finca that has since become our guests’ beloved retreat on the Ebro.

Twenty years later, life here remains wonderfully uncomplicated. The days, weeks and months drift by in the simple lifestyle we’ve grown to cherish. Learning Catalan proved a delightful challenge—with free lessons from the Ajuntament (town hall), we’ve slowly become part of the community fabric.
Our converted almacén sits proudly on the riverbank, offering guests a unique glimpse into traditional Spanish rural life whilst providing modern comfort and convenience. The property’s journey from working storage building to welcoming holiday cottage reflects our commitment to preserving the area’s agricultural heritage whilst creating a comfortable base for exploration and relaxation.

What began as our own escape has evolved into something we’re passionate about sharing. Since 2008, we’ve welcomed fishing enthusiasts, nature lovers, and families seeking an authentic connection with the Ebro River and its surroundings.
Our goal has always been simple: to help guests discover the Lower Ebro Valley as an unrivalled destination for peaceful holidays, fishing adventures, and genuine Spanish experiences. We offer what we’ve found ourselves—choice, convenience, and exceptional value in one of Catalonia’s most unspoilt corners.
